Angus Wightman | Technical Service Support
Describe your typical day to day role:
Everyday is unique, my job takes me to each corner of the country; typically assisting our territory support managers with larger challenges, along with prepping and maintaining our demo fleet and more recently, helping with development of a new NIR sensor. Being in a more reactive role it means that my weeks plans can change in an instance, meaning I’ve got a shortlist of hotels ranked on breakfasts and shower quality!
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
I enjoy learning new techniques from the many professionals I work alongside in the UK and working closely with my colleagues in Germany to help fix issues in a quick and efficient way. I also love that I get to travel the country and can experience multiple different farming practices in different conditions. Alongside this I enjoy exploring my interests and working closely developing the UK understanding of Krone machinery and back up for our products.
Most memorable moment whilst part of the Krone team?
A highlight of my time at Krone so far, was whilst working in Germany on the engine support hot desk visiting a Dutch dealer with a BiG X fuel issue. It was an exciting afternoon to cross the border from Germany to Holland and after fixing the issue the second highlight of the day was flying down the autobahn to get back to the home of Krone, Spelle, for a well-deserved German beer!
James Bumphrey | Product Support Manager
Describe your typical day to day role:
The beauty of my job is that there is no typical day, every day is different! One day I could be assisting an engineer from one of our dealers with a technical fault, the next day I could be helping my sales colleagues with a demonstration from our large product offering, from a EasyCut Mower to a BiG X!
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
The most enjoyable part of my job is meeting new people and creating great relationships with them, this might be with customers or new members of our ever expanding dealer network - great people are key to our success. I also thoroughly enjoy working with BiG Pack balers!
Most memorable moment whilst part of the Krone team?
My most memorable moment so far working at Krone UK was Scotgrass, we delivered a fantastic working demonstration of our complete product range in very challenging conditions, from the setup through to the last demo run, everyone worked together and we delivered a flawless show to 1000’s of spectators!
Noel Clough | Warehouse Manager
Describe your typical day to day role:
No two days are the same which is what I love about my job. Our warehouse and parts offering is always evolving from stocking a wider range of parts lines to repositioning stock to make room for increasing quantities of our most popular picks. We sell over 33,000 replacement mower blades a year within the UK!
It’s my responsibility to make sure our warehouse runs as efficiently as possible to ensure that parts are available and orders are dispatched quickly - especially during season! They say variety is the spice of life and my job certainly delivers!
Most memorable moment whilst part of the Krone team?
I have worked for Krone UK since the daughter company opened in 2009. After all this time my most memorable moment will still be from the launch party and watching Bernard Krone himself doing the traditional opening of the beer barrel. It's great to see how far the company has come and grown over the past 14 years!
Holly White | Marketing Executive
Describe your typical day to day role:
My role at Krone UK is very varied, no two days are the same...From managing our social media channels and content, producing artwork for print collateral, working closely with our dealer network and not forgetting attending shows and events across the country to improve the Krone brand!
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
I joined the Krone UK team in October 2022 and since then there has been so many opportunities that I’ve been involved with. The most enjoyable part of my job is helping co-ordinate shows such as LAMMA, The Highland Show and The Royal Welsh and seeing our ideas come to life! Its great to also work with a team that are passionate about the krone brand and our products.
Most memorable moment whilst part of the Krone team?
A highlight of my time at Krone so far, was when I got the chance to work in Germany with the marketing team which was a great experience! I think another memorable and proud moment would be recently executing our Dealer Conference for our dealer network inline with LAMMA Show. It was great to see our UK dealer network on our stand before the show learning about our new products and innovations.
Craig Bryson | Territory Sales Manager
Describe your typical day to day role:
Each day can be very different but I spend most of my days working closely with local dealers to assist with demonstrations or customer enquiries. I also deal with pricing up large machinery and the availability for dealers in my area.
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
For me it has to be meeting new people and learning about different farming and contracting operations across the country. I also enjoy attending the shows, it's a great way to showcase our wide variety of products - especially at LAMMA!
Most memorable moment whilst part of the Krone team?
There is almost to many to choose from! From a personal point it would be selling my first BiG M which was a massive achievement. From a team perspective it would have to be attending Agritechnica in 2019, this was a great team trip to learn about new products and get to know my colleagues!
Charlie Thornton-James | Sales Territory Manager
Describe your typical day to day role:
Every day is different, I tend to tackle pricing up some of the larger machinery along with tracking availability. Answering questions and following up on sales enquiries. In the summer months I enjoy demonstrating some of the best equipment in the industry with our dealer network.
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
The people! In my role I spend a lot of time with my dealers and customers new and old, its great to build these relationships with so many people. Going down roads you would never drive if it weren’t to meet these people. The variety of customers always amazes me but we all have the same interests. Again in the summer months I enjoy getting out with some of the machines and using them for myself so I have better understanding of what they can do.
Most memorable moment whilst part of the Krone team?
So far it has to be LAMMA 2024, the stand looked great and it was a proud moment to be part of such a great team effort. The whole of the Krone UK team have made me feel very welcome and have a wealth of knowledge, there’s always someone to help you or answer a question.
Liam Featherstone | Territory Product Support Manager
Describe your typical day to day role:
No two days are the same and it requires me to be very versatile in my role. Sometimes I can be working from home looking at warranty and service reports and the next I will be out on territory supporting my dealers with technical service enquiries on a customers machine.
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
My favourite part of my job has got to be getting out in the field with the machinery, generally the sun is shining and the Krone products are doing what they do best whether that is on a demonstration or while helping out with a technical query. I also can’t deny I get a buzz from seeing a machine work like clockwork, after finding a fault and fixing the issue to get the customer up and running as quickly as possible.
Most memorable moment whilst part of the Krone team?
Most of my memorable moments have come from time spent with my colleagues who not only get the job done but also know how to have a good time! On a more personal level I would have to say the working demonstration day we did with Pallisers of Hereford. Being able to showcase the Krone brand and our products was impressive especially given the hard work put in to setting up by everyone involved.
